To the sea

Just to check in before we head out...

Kika and I just got back from the German store where I had bought the two DVDs. Apparently even though the purchase was only two days ago, and even though I had the reciept, a return is not possible, only an exchange, and it had to be for the EXACT amount, which was 8,90 Euros (they wouldn't even let it be 4 cents UNDER! silly Italians; oh, and the comma is like our decimal point, so it was probably about $10 or so). This worked out OK because I was able to buy some Aloe Vera. I have a feeling that will come in handy! They (the Greselins) have extra SPF 30 sunscreen, which is pretty much the highest you can find here, so I think I'll be set. I also bought conditioner, which apparently is an American idea because none of the girls in this household use it, and with washing my hair a couple of times a day at the sea, I think that my hair will greatly appreciate it. With some Oreos for the trip back (on the plane- I'm already starting my stash, and a healthy dossage of Happy Hippos (a simply wonderful Italian candy that I won't ever be able to find in America so I need to fill up now!), we were finally ready to go, and I decided to be much more cautious when making decisions to buy things like DVDs in foreign countries! (And you wonder why I am such a heasitant shopper :\ )

I probably already said this, but I gave up on reading Harry Potter in Italian beside the English one, so I just renewed the English one to take to the sea, and, as I said, bought the much smaller "Tales of Beedle the Bard" in Italian as a compromise.

Oh, Stefano found a charger that will work for my camera and bought it for me, and he also has a memmory card converter, so I might be in luck! :D I am so thankful!
